Introduction
Photography literally means drawing with light. For many photographers, light is a means to an end. A portrait for example, or images that demand a narrative. I am not averse to using light in this way. Examples can be found in this gallery. My interests, though, are generally more abstract: color, form and texture. Color in particular. Color is inherently expressive, even in its most minimalist forms. Those emotions are at the heart of my project. Though the colors in this gallery are quite varied, for any given image I prefer to work with a limited palette, partly for esthetic reasons and partly for affective focus. In subsequent galleries this strategy will be employed in more thematically focused ways
